Children and Adolescents
Growing up isn’t easy – especially when the world doesn’t always seem built with you in mind. Whether your child is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, misunderstood, or just a little bit “stuck,” I’m here to help.
I provide counselling and therapeutic support for children and young people as they navigate the twists and turns of development – from the big feelings of early childhood to the identity questions of adolescence (hello, “who even am I?”). My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and responsive to each young person’s needs, strengths, and quirks.
Many of the children and teens I work with are neurodivergent – including those with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and learning differences. Some are struggling with emotional regulation, friendships, or school demands. Others might be wrestling with low confidence, sensory overload, or the challenges of fitting into social norms that just don’t quite fit them.
In our work together, I aim to create a space where young people feel safe, accepted, and free to be themselves (wiggles, stims, tangents and all). I use a holistic, evidence-informed approach that might include play-based work, talk therapy, creative expression, and collaborative problem-solving. Therapy is always tailored – because there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to real, messy, marvellous humans.
My goal? To support children and adolescents to better understand themselves, build emotional tools, strengthen relationships, and grow into the kind of people they already have the seeds of becoming.
