Family Therapy
Families are beautifully complex – a bit like a group project where no one signed up, everyone brings their own history, and somehow you're all still expected to work together.
Family therapy offers a space for everyone to be heard and understood. Whether you're navigating constant conflict, communication breakdowns, life transitions, or supporting a neurodivergent family member, therapy can help untangle the knots and strengthen the threads that connect you. In sessions, we explore how each person’s experiences and needs shape the dynamic, and we look at ways to improve communication, reduce tension, and build more understanding – not just between people, but within each person too.
Some common themes I work with in family therapy include:
-
Emotional regulation and managing big feelings in the home
-
Strengthening relationships between siblings, parents and children, or co-parents
-
Navigating diagnoses like autism, ADHD, and learning challenges as a family unit
-
Helping neurodivergent voices be heard and validated within family systems
-
Creating shared language and routines to support connection
You don’t need to be a “perfect family” (spoiler: they don’t exist). You just need to be willing to show up, be curious, and try things differently. Therapy can offer a reset button – a place to breathe, reconnect, and move forward together.
