Parenting
Let’s be honest – parenting is hard. Like, “where’s the manual and why didn’t anyone mention this bit?” kind of hard.
Whether you're managing school drop-offs, sibling battles, endless snack negotiations, or the emotional rollercoaster that can come with neurodivergent kids, it’s a big job. And sometimes, no matter how much love and effort you pour in, things still feel messy and overwhelming. That’s where I come in.
In my work with parents and caregivers, I offer a space to make sense of what’s happening – beneath the behaviours, beneath the burnout, beneath the “I just don’t know what else to try.” We explore your child’s needs, your family dynamics, and your own emotional world too (yes, you matter here – a lot).
As a psychologist – and a parent – who was late-diagnosed as autistic and ADHD myself, I know how complex and nuanced family life can be, especially when neurodivergence is part of the picture. I bring both professional and lived experience into the therapy space, and I understand what it’s like to support your child while also doing your own inner work.
We might talk about:
-
Parenting a neurodivergent child (ADHD, autism, learning differences)
-
Co-regulation and helping kids manage big feelings
-
Building emotional safety and secure attachment
-
How to set boundaries without losing your mind
-
Navigating school systems, diagnoses, and that mountain of “parent admin”
-
Letting go of perfectionism and tuning in to what really matters
Therapy isn’t about perfect parenting – it’s about real, thoughtful, responsive parenting that fits your unique child and your values. I’ll support you to parent with more confidence, connection, and clarity – and maybe even a little more ease.
